Nigerian Army Buries 19 Soldiers
The Nigerian Army on Friday buried 19 soliders killed by Boko Haram insurgents in the November 18 assault on an army installation in Metele, Borno State.
Their bodies were let go at the military burial ground in the Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri, after supplications were led by Muslim and Christian clerics.
The military had demanded that just 23 people were executed amid the assault on the 157 Task Force Battalion while 31 others continued wounds, as against the more than 100 killed warriors revealed in the media.
Recorded among the perished were Lt. Col. Ibrahim Sakaba.
In his location, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, portrayed the fallen fighters as saints.
