University of Oxford To Replace Hand Clapping With Jazz Hands

There was an open debate on hand clapping or jazz hands in the University of Oxford. The university student union voted in favor of silent applause. Instead of clapping, audiences will now show support with jazz hands.

Reports have it that the decision was made in order to promote a more sensitive, inclusive environment for students with disorders who might be affected by loud noise. Jazz hands is a hand-waving motion, is the British Sign Language expression for applause.
