Christmas season: The Police Command in Kogi has restricted the utilization of sparklers also known as firecrackers locally known as ‘banga’ over the state.
The state Commissioner of police, Mr Akeem Busari, reported the boycott in an announcement in Lokoja on Friday.
The announcement marked by the direction’s Public Relations Officer, DSP William Aya, cited Busari as saying that the restriction on the utilization of sparklers was because of the risk it presented to security of lives and property.
