Fire outbreak at Balogun Market, Lagos

Barely two months after a policeman and numerous items valued at tens of millions of Naira, went up in flames at Balogun market place, a section of the famous market on Lagos Island, is reportedly on fire again.

The raging inferno was said to have started inside the early hours of Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

While the cause of the incident cannot be ascertained on the time of submitting this report, traders inside the market and other residents of the area, have referred to a son the Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA), and different government companies to come back to their aid.
