Kirk Douglas’ $61M fortune given mostly to charity

Kirk Douglas decided to leave his $61 million fortune to noble cause, instead of offering any to his child Michael.

Douglas, who died prior this month at 103 years old, needed $50 million parted with by means of the Douglas Foundation, the Mirror announced.

The recipients included St Lawrence University, Westwood’s Sinai Temple, Culver City’s Kirk Douglas Theater and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, as per the outlet.

It included that Michael, 75, was not a recipient.

Michael declared the passing of his dad on Feb. 5 out of an Instagram post, which incorporated a few photographs of his famous dad and different relatives

“It is with gigantic trouble that my siblings and I declare that Kirk Douglas left us today at 103 years old. To the world he was a legend, an on-screen character from the brilliant period of films who lived very much into his brilliant years, a compassionate whose duty to equity and the causes he had faith in set a standard for us all to strive for.”

He proceeded: “However to me and my siblings Joel and Peter he was just Dad, to Catherine, an awesome dad in-law, to his grandkids and extraordinary grandkid their caring granddad, and to his significant other Anne, a superb spouse.

Douglas was a three-time Oscar chosen one, known for his jobs in “Spartacus” and “Secret weapon.”

Michael completed his Instagram message by stating, “Kirk’s life was all around lived, and he leaves a heritage in film that will suffer for a long time into the future, and a history as a famous altruist who attempted to help people in general and carry harmony to the planet. Let me end with the words I let him know on his last birthday and which will consistently stay genuine. Father I love you so much and I am so glad to be your child.”
